DTC Codes

Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) indicate basic malfunctions and problems with your battery, AEG, ETU or Blu-Link. You are notified about them by a LED blinking for 120 s after the problem occurs. The Blu-Link DTCs can later be read and cleared in the Diagnostics tab in GCS.

...

Tip

Note
If you are using an ETU connected to Blu-Link, also check the ETU DTCs. Blu-Link is designed to withstand higher power load and lower voltage than an ETU, so in most cases, ETU protection is activated earlier and Blu-Link does not detect the problem.

WHAT HAPPENED

POSSIBLE REASON

WHAT TO DO

Image Modified

ULL – User load limit exceeded

  • The load limit has been set too low in relation to AEG configuration

  • Other possible reasons are the same as in the case of OCP or SCP

  • Modify the adjustable smart fuse settings

  • Follow the OCP or SCP guidelines

  • Contact us at support@gatee.eu

Image Modified

OCP – Blu-Link has detected excessive current activating overcurrent protection

  • Motor damaged

  • Motor or gearbox jammed

  • Motor connection short circuit

  • Replace motor

  • Unjam motor or gearbox

  • Check and fix motor wire insulation

Image Modified

SCP – Blu-Link has detected a current over 270 A activating short circuit protection

  • Motor damaged

  • Motor or gearbox jammed

  • Motor connection short circuit

  • Replace motor

  • Unjam motor or gearbox

  • Check and fix motor wire insulation

Image Modified

OTP – Blu-Link temperature is too high activating over temperature protection

  • Excessively high outside temperature in combination with a tuned replica

  • Frequent short circuits and Blu-Link electrical overloads

Wait until Blu-Link temperature drops

Image Modified

UVP1 – Battery protection was activated

Battery discharged

Charge battery

Image Modified

UVP2 – The voltage dropped below critical level for Blu-Link to work properly

  • Battery discharged

  • The battery is worn out and has excessively high internal resistance

  • Inadequate battery type for current AEG configuration

  • Too much electrical resistance between Blu-Link and the battery

  • Motor too powerful for the battery connected

  • Motor connection short circuit

  • Jammed motor

  • Damaged motor

  • Charge battery

  • Replace battery

  • Use battery of greater capacity or voltage

  • Do not use any adaptors

  • Use standard or high-torque motors instead of high-speed ones

  • Check and fix motor wire insulation

  • Unjam motor

  • Replace motor

Image Modified

UVP3 – Protection against battery overdischarge activated immediately after battery was connected

  • The number of cells differs from the number set in GCS

  • Battery discharged

  • Set the same number of cells in GCS as in battery

  • Charge battery

Tip

Note
There may be several codes displayed one after another, e.g., SCP and UVP2: 4 red blinks, 2 yellow blinks.
