Congratulations on your Blu-Link!

...

  1. Plug Blu-Link to AEG battery LED side up

  2. If LED glows green, go to the next step. If not, see check Blu-Link Troubleshooting Card (included in the kit)

  3. Plug AEG/ETU into Blu-Link

  4. Enjoy using Blu-Link

Notice
You can use Blu-Link without ETU. It will work as smart fuse and wattmeter enabling to, i.e., read telemetry data.

First connection via GCS

  1. Download and install GATE Control Station:
    www.gatee.eu/gcs

  2. Enable Bluetooth on your device

  3. Plug Blu-Link to AEG battery LED side up

  4. If LED glows green, go to the next step. If not, see check Blu-Link Troubleshooting Card (included in the kit)

  5. Log in to the GCS app

  6. Prepare PIN printed on Blu-Link card

  7. Connect Blu-Link by following instructions displayed in GCS

  8. Plug AEG/ETU into Blu-Link

  9. Enjoy using Blu-Link

...

Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) inform about basic malfunctions and problems with your battery, AEG/, ETU or Blu-Link. You are notified of them with LED blinking for 2 minutes since the problem occurs. Blu-Link DTC can be later read and cleared in DTC menu in GCS app.

...

Notice
If you are using ETU connected with Blu-link and problem occure, check also its DTC in GCS appETUs DTC. Blu-link is designed to withstand higher power load and lower voltage than ETU, so in most cases, ETU protection will enable earlier and Blu-link won’t notice the problem.

WHAT HAPPENED

POSSIBLE REASON

WHAT TO DO

UVP1 - Battery protection was activated.

The battery is discharged

Charge the battery

UVP2 - The voltage dropped below 1.9 V45 V which is critical for Blu-Link to work properly.

1. The battery is discharged

2. The battery is worn out and has too high internal resistance

3. Inadequate battery type for given AEG configuration

4. Too much electrical resistance between Blu-Link and the battery

5. Motor too strong for the connected battery

6. Motor connections short circuit

7. Motor is jammed

8. Motor is damaged

  1. Charge the battery

  2. Replace the battery

  3. Use a battery with more capacity or more voltage

  4. Do not use any adapters

  5. Use standard or high-torque motors instead of high-speed

  6. Check and fix the motor wires insulation

  7. Unjam the motor

  8. Replace the motor

UVP3 - Protection against over-discharge of the battery. Battery protection was activated immediately after connecting the battery.

  1. Number of cells is different than their number set in GCS

  2. The battery is discharged

  1. Set the same number of cells in GCS as in the battery

  2. Charge the battery

OVL - Too high load. The load limit was exceeded.

Use high-torque motor and gearsSend us photo and spec of that beast.

OCP - Blu-Link detected too high current. Overcurrent protection was activated.

  1. Too low current is set in smart fuse settings

  2. Motor is damaged

  3. Motor or gearbox is jammed

  4. Motor connections short circuit

  1. Adjust smart fuse settings

  2. Replace the motor

  3. Unjam the motor or gearbox

  4. Check and fix the motor wires insulation

SCP - Blu-Link detected current over 240 A. Short circuit protection was activated.

  1. Motor is damaged

  2. Motor or gearbox is jammed

  3. Motor connections short circuit

  1. Replace the motor

  2. Unjam the motor or gearbox

  3. Check and fix the motor wires insulation

OTP - Blu-Link temperature is too high. Over temperature protection was activated.

OTP

  1. Outside temperature is too high in correlation with the demanding AEG

  2. Frequent short circuits and Blu-Link electrical overloads

Wait until the temperature drops.
