Congratulations Congratulation on your new Blu-Link!
It allows you to control your GATE ETU and connect it to other compatible devices wirelessly via GATE Control Station app. Moreover, Blu-Link is an additional smart fuse and power analyzer enabling to, e.g., read telemetry data.

Notice
You can use Blu-Link without ETU. It will work as a smart fuse and power analyzer enabling to, e.g., read telemetry data.

Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) inform about basic malfunctions and problems with your battery, AEG, ETU or Blu-Link. You are notified of them by LED blinking for 2 minutes after the problem occurs. The Blu-Link’s DTC can be later read and cleared in DTC menu in GCS app.
In the event of trouble
LED color reflects problem type The colour of LED serves to reflect on the actual issue, whereby respectively:
Yellow means to indicate a warning
Red means to indicate a critical problem
Number of blinks determines what exactly the problem is (for reference, read DTC explanations presented later in this guide) / The actual nature of the issue will be said corroborated by the number of blinks (for reference, please acquaint the explications from the DTC, to be available further on across this guidebook)

Notice
If you use an ETU connected to Blu-Link, check also the ETU's DTC. Blu-Link is designed to withstand higher power load and lower voltage than ETU, so in most cases, an ETU protection turns on earlier and the Blu-Link does not detect the problem.
/ If ETU used in connection to Blu-Link, the DTC to be also checked for the ETU. Since the Blu-link is so-designed to be up to withstand a higher power and lower voltage from the ETU, in most cases by the moment of a possible clash was detected, the ETU protection will have been turned on automatically, so that the Blu-Link was enabled to ignore the problem as unrecognized whatsoever and take for no action to address of it thereby.
LED | WHAT HAPPENED | POSSIBLE REASON | WHAT TO DO |
---|---|---|---|
OVL – The load limit was exceeded. |
|
| |
OCP – Blu-Link detected too high current. Overcurrent protection was activated. |
|
| |
SCP – Blu-Link detected current over 270 A. Short circuit protection was activated. |
|
| |
OTP – Blu-Link temperature is too high. Over temperature protection was activated. |
| Wait until the temperature drops | |
UVP1 – Battery protection was activated. | The battery is discharged | Charge the battery | |
UVP2 – The voltage dropped below 1.5 V, which is critical for Blu-Link to work properly. | 1. The battery is discharged 2. The battery is worn out and has too high internal resistance 3. Inadequate battery type for given AEG configuration 4. Too much electrical resistance between Blu-Link and the battery 5. Motor too strong for the connected battery 6. Motor connections' short circuit 7. Motor is jammed 8. Motor is damaged |
| |
| UVP3 – Protection against over-discharge of the battery. Battery protection was activated immediately after connecting the battery. |
