The GATE Control Station App — GCS App

The GCS App enables you to update the firmware and adjust the settings using the USB-Link or Blu-Link and the GCS App. With GCS, you do not have to remember complicated Trigger sequences to program your unit. All features are easily accessible and simple to adjust with just one click.

Note
GCS can be used on Windows/MacOS/Android/iOS devices.

We are constantly improving the GCS App. Each update brings new features and/or corrections. All changes are available in our changelog: https://gatee.eu/technical-support/changelog

GCS allows you to:

  • update and upgrade TITAN firmware

  • change all TITAN settings

  • calibrate the Trigger and Selector

  • set Trigger sensitivity

  • check the state of your TITAN sensors

  • check the Telemetry data of your gun (Rate of Fire, Trigger response etc.)

  • check Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)

  • contact GATE Support (via error report, messenger or phone)

Note
You need a USB-Link to connect your TITAN to GCS for Android and Windows/macOS. To connect to the iOS GCS, you must use a Blu-Link.

Note
You can find out how to program your device using the Blu-Link in the manual included in the Blu-Link kit.

Caution
Prevent the USB-Link and the ends of the USB cable from contact with conductive materials, such as dust, liquid or metal powder.

Note
Do not remove the device heat shrink tube.

1. Connect the USB-Link via its Micro-USB plug into your PC, Mac or smartphone using one of the dedicated USB cables:

USB-A cable for PC/Mac

Micro-USB or USB-C cable for smartphones

Note
The micro-USB cable has the same connectors on both sides. However, it is very important to connect the USB-Link and smartphone to the appropriate ends of the cable as otherwise, it will not work.

Note
If your USB-Link cannot be detected, follow the instructions displayed in the GCS.

2. Connect TITAN to the USB-Link.

Note
If your USB-Link cannot detect TITAN, check if the same happens with another PC, Mac or smartphone.
If the problem persists:

Click here for USB-Link Troubleshooting: https://gateee.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/GHC/pages/335806634/Information+for+Use+In4U+TTN#USB-Link-Troubleshooting

3. Now you can control TITAN via GCS.

Below you will see screenshots with various types of ETUs, so what you see in your GCS may differ, and some options might not be available.

General

Click here 1️⃣ to go to Restore Default Settings 2️⃣ – restores default settings for the various functionalities. Trigger and Selector calibration as well as Telemetry data remain unchanged and Restore Factory Settings – (hard reset) restores all default settings, resets your Telemetry, and clears adaptation data.

3️⃣ Cycle Detection – switches ON or OFF the optical gear sensor. Cycle Detection OFF can be compared to an emergency mode for problems with the gear sensor. Most TITAN features will be disabled, but you can still shoot in AUTO.

4️⃣ Thanks to the Gear sensor, TITAN precisely detects in which position the cycle should finish. Therefore, even the shortest Trigger action produces at least one full cycle.

5️⃣ A set of preferences referring to the active profile and switching between Profiles.

6️⃣ Battery protection – modern LiPo and LiFe batteries are very sensitive to overdischarge. The microprocessor monitors the battery voltage constantly. When the voltage drops down to a critical level, it will not allow firing. Battery cell – when the battery voltage drops to the specified level (in relation to one cell), the motor will vibrate. Available settings: OFF, 3.1 V, 3.2 V, 3.3 V or 3.4 V per cell for LiPo batteries and 2.6 V, 2.7 V, 2.8 V or 2.9V per cell for LiFe batteries.

7️⃣ Series Safety Limit – enables to set a predefined number of BBs fired in a single series. It can be used as a protection against Trigger jam. In case of emergency, you can stop the series by switching the Selector position.

8️⃣ Gear Ratio - to activate Pre-Cocking with the highest level of precision you should define the gear type in your AEG; available types: Normal Speed, Low Speed, High Speed, DSG, 19-Tooth.
Typical gear ratio settings (excluding DSG and 19-tooth):
Low Speed: <15 RPS
Normal Speed: 15-25 RPS
High Speed: >25 RPS
If overspin occurs, you should switch the gear type to the next one (e.g. Normal Speed to Low Speed).

Note
The DSG and 19-Tooth gear ratio options are not available for TITAN V2 NGRS.

🔟 Active Brake automatically adjusts the motor braking power according to your needs. This prolongs the lifespan of the motor and reduces the heat. Now you can also choose your own value depending on your needs.

Note
The regional lock designed for German players will disable all the BURST and AUTO options.

Trigger

2️⃣ Pre-Cocking allows for initial spring compression, which speeds up Trigger response significantly:
Auto – the spring is automatically compressed after each shot. In Auto you can also set Boost, which determines the strength of spring compression. The highest setting results in the best Trigger response, but also greatly increases wear and tear on the gearbox.
If overspin occurs, set Gear Ratio to High Speed.

Note
Using Pre-Cocking increases wear and tear on the gearbox.

Manual – you can set the values to SEMI, BURST, and AUTO.

screen

3️⃣ ROF Control enables a reduction in a gun’s Rate of Fire. You can use stronger LiPo batteries, and still have a ROF just like in a real gun. ON – ROF Control uses PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) to decrease ROF. Thanks to this, the gearbox works smoothly, which decreases wear and tear of AEG internal parts. The percentage value determines the PWM duty cycle and it does not reflect ROF decrease.
OFF – ROF Control adds breaks between shots to decrease ROF, which gives you a more realistic experience. This option set to 50% will significantly reduce ROF.

4️⃣ You don't need to fully release the Trigger to fire the next shot. This option is really useful when the Trigger sensitivity level is very high. Choose between two types of Equalizer:

1LVL, 2LVL and MANUAL are especially useful when trigger sensitivity level is very high, so you do not need to fully release the trigger while firing quickly:

TITAN V2

  • OFF –  to fire the next shot, you need to release the trigger until it reaches the selected trigger sensitivity level.

  • 2LVL –  to fire the next shot, just release the trigger until it moves over two adjoining sensors.

  • 1LVL –  to fire the next shot, just release the trigger until it moves over an adjoining sensor.

TITAN V3 & TITAN V2 NGRS

  • OFF –  to fire the next shot, you need to release the trigger until it reaches the selected trigger sensitivity level.

  • 2LVL – to fire next shot, just release the trigger so it changes the position by ~40% of trigger movement.

  • 1LVL – to fire next shot, just release the trigger so it changes the position by ~20% of trigger movement.

  • MANUAL – thanks to EXPERT firmware, you can adjust the percentage of trigger movement exactly as you prefer. This option is not available in TITAN V2 because of sensors type.

5️⃣ Sniper Delay lets you to set delay between each SEMI shot to simulate the delay from reload or recoil. You can set it between 0.01 and 5 s. By choosing the Manual with Vibration option, you can enable a vibration which will inform you when the gun is ready to fire again.

Selector

Selector mode – allows you to choose how your replica will behave in each Selector position:
SAFE – the replica will not fire when the Trigger is pulled
SEMI – one pull of the Trigger will result in only one shot
BURST – one pull of the Trigger enables you to shoot a pre-determined number of BBs, which is very useful in MILSIM and when using low-caps
AUTO – pulling the Trigger causes an uninterrupted* series of shots until the Trigger is released
*the series can be limited by the Round Limit.
