General Information

Congratulations on your brand new TACTICKER from GATE ENTERPRISE.

TACTICKER is an advanced resistance mechanism that replicates the feel and functionality of real firearm triggers. It offers adjustable resistance force, providing users with a realistic and immersive shooting experience. Crafted with CNC technology, TACTICKER offers the flexibility to set different operational characteristics – from combat, two-stage configuration, through slight resistance and short pull as in shooting sports, up to a very sensitive Speedsoft trigger – in the case of adjustable movement triggers, where it’s possible to eliminate the standard trigger spring.

TACTICKER Installation in the Gearbox

Introductory Information

Installation of the TACTICKER in the gearbox, using the example of a replica with TITAN II Bluetooth® installed

  1. Have ready the replica where you will install TACTICKER.

  2. Remove the gearbox shell from the replica.

  3. Remove the upper part of the gearbox and pull out the piston and cylinder assembly.

  1. For TITAN, remove the top PCB

5. Before installing TACTICKER, make sure that the selector plate is correctly installed. Once the TACTICKER is fitted, selector plate installation may be difficult or impossible.

  1. Put the TACTICKER where the trigger lock was mounted.

  1. If necessary, use the O-rings from the set to eliminate any play between the gearbox wall and the body. The thickness of the O-ring should be chosen so that the front wall of the TACTICKER is parallel to the gearbox wall

  2. Keeping the TACTICKER in place, screw in the screw from the other side of the gearbox with moderate torque – using too much force can damage the thread. We recommend securing the screw with thread glue.

  3. Install the trigger with the spring (and the top PCB in the case of ТITAN).

  1. Close the gearbox and tighten it with screws.

TACTICKER adjustment

  1. To adjust the trigger break force, use the screw located at the top of the body—tightening it increases the break force, while loosening it decreases it.
For better trigger feel, it's recommended to perform this adjustment with the gearbox shell closed, manipulating the screw through the cylinder window. During this process, it's necessary to remove the HPA cylinder/engine assembly and use a long and narrow hex key (size 2.0mm 5/64").

  1. Depending on the type of trigger you have, you may achieve different trigger characteristics. When installed in a gearbox with a non-adjustable trigger or an adjustable trigger set in a neutral position, the TACTICKER will simulate a two-stage trigger.

First stage - the initial resistance, which depends on the stiffness of the trigger spring.
Second stage - the break point after which the shot is fired, and whose resistance is adjusted by the screw in the TACTICKER.

  2. For adjustable triggers, it is possible to set up a single-stage trigger and remove the trigger spring to achieve a lighter pull.
To do this, adjust the trigger pretravel so that the trigger touches the TACTICKER firing pin in its initial position.

  3. After setting the desired trigger characteristics and resistance, you can reassemble the entire gearbox and install it in the replica. Remember to secure the TACTICKER adjustment screw with thread-locking adhesive before doing so.

Adjustment in GCS

  1. After installing the TACTICKER and gearbox, recalibrate the trigger in the GCS. During calibration, perform a full trigger pull (for a two-stage trigger, complete both the first and second stages of the trigger pull).

  2. After completing the calibration, pull the trigger until you feel the resistance of the TACTICKER needle.

    3. While keeping the trigger pulled in this position, set the shot moment and reset just before the trigger status indicator.

  1. Perform a test shot and check if it occurs after breaking the resistance of the TACTICKER. If the shot happens before breaking the resistance, adjust the reset and shot moment slightly further from the trigger status indicator.

    5. The TACTICKER is ready for use.

Troubleshooting

Lack of trigger resistance despite screwed in adjustment screw/blocked firing pin

  • Loosen the adjustment screw on the TACTICKER until the firing pin returns to its initial position.

  • Check that the mounting screw is not screwed in too deep in gearbox and does not block the firing pin.

No crisp wall or reset with resistance values below 900g.

The springs used in the TACTICKER are selected to ensure the mechanism operates crisply within the range of 900g to over 4000g. When setting the resistance below 900g, the wall and reset of the trigger may be less perceptible. In such cases, we recommend replacing the main TACTICKER spring with a weaker spring with an outer diameter no greater than 3mm and a length of about 8mm (e.g., a selector plate spring from AEG spring sets; if cutting the spring, direct the cut end towards the adjustment screw). After this adjustment, the reset and wall of the trigger will be more crisp, even with a resistance setting of 300g.
